Training Dates

The following dates have been arranged for the Key Stage 3 Strategy for the following year.

ICT229 Preparing Year 9 pupils for the KS3 ICT assessment, including tests

One day course for teachers from each school; £80 total course fee.

Course outcomes:
Heads of departments and ICT Teachers will be clear about the reuirements of the Y9 ICT assessment and be better able to prepare pupils for it, allowing them to demonstarte their full potential.

CPDICT 228 ICT teachers unfamiliar with the KS3 Strategy

One day course for teachers from each school; £80 total course fee.

Course outcomes:

Teachers new to teaching ICT will have a better understanding of the KS3 Strategy and the need to focus upon ICT Capability. They will also have some familiarisation with the strategy sample teaching units and the pedagogy involved.

CPD ICT 226 Developing ICT Across the Curriculum

A half-day course for teachers from each school; £40 total course fee.

Course outcomes:

Course participants will be able to support colleagues in developing ICT Across subject departments.

Twilight support meetings for Heads of department

3 twilight sessions of two hours autumn spring and summer terms at no charge.
Target audience: Heads of Department and 2 i/c

Course outcomes:
Heads of Department and ICT Coordinators will be appraised of developments in ICT locally and nationally. Opportunities for discussion will have allowed teachers to share ideas and contribute to a better understanding of issues.
