Loan Scheme

The loan scheme allows teachers to evaluate ICT equipment prior to purchase and to supplement items available in school for more effective teaching.

There is a range of items available which may be loaned to schools free of charge for up to half a term. Details of what is available are below.

Items must be collected from and returned to the ICT Centre. Occasionally it may be possible to deliver the equipment if a member of the ICT Curriculum Support Team is in your area.

All items are loaned conditionally and a charge will be made for any damage.

Floor Robots
A range of floor robots are available including Roamers, Pips and Pixies. These are very popular, so book early to avoid disappointment.
FlowGo & Models
A control box designed to work with Flowol. Connect to a PC and models connected to it can be operated by programs created in Flowol.
Lego Robolab Technology Set
A kit of Lego Robolab equipment ideal for teaching control at KS2 and early KS3.
LogIT Explorer Datalogging Equipment
Try out datalogging in the classroom. LogIT Explorer includes both built in and a selection of external sensors for both remote datalogging and live datalogging when connected to a PC.
LogIT Live Datalogging Equipment
Try out datalogging in the classroom. LogIT Live includes a selection of sensors for live datalogging when connected to a PC.
DV Cameras
Pocket DV cameras that record 320x480 pixel video and 2 mega pixel digital stills. Each has a 1.5" TFT LCD screen, 2x digital zoom and 32Mb memory. They also play MP3 files.
